Showcasing talent
Celebrating success
ABOUT
GoLive Awards and Showcases are an annual celebration of student talent and achievement. Their aim is to reward success and provide a talent pipeline to the industry.
At the heart of the Awards are national and regional Industry Awards, covering categories such as Best Song, Best Game and Best Photo. National Awards are judged by industry partners and winners will receive a £50 Amazon voucher. To these are added Education Awards celebrating outstanding student achievement and progress, as well as a set of Special Awards.
Nominations for all awards are via this site.
NOMINATIONS 23
Nominations for the GoLive Awards 2023 open on Monday 17th April and close on Sunday 28th May at midnight.
At the heart of the process is an opportunity for you to shout about what you do and to get recognised for it. Have you created something that you are really proud of? If so nominate yourself. Do you love something a fellow student has created? Nominate them. Tutors can also nominate students based on their knowledge of your work.
Winning an award, or getting into the runners-up, is something to shout out about on your CV and professional profile. It will help you to stand out.
The winners of each campus' Industry Awards will be put forward for the National Awards. These are judged by the industry and carry prizes.
NOMINATION PROCESS
Nominations for Industry Awards should focus only on creative work(s) and professional practice.
By contrast, nominations for Education Awards should focus on educational, personal and professional development.
We recommend your nomination is submitted via a link to an Awards page added to your professional profile site you created as part of the Digital Skills project in GoLive.
You must make sure that this page is PUBLISHED and that anyone on the internet can VIEW IT. You can do this in Google Sites in the share permissions. Alternatively you can link to identified work on a public profile or portfolio site.
This page should clearly explain how your nomination meets the award criteria, plus any relevant information to support your nomination. For Industry Awards you will need to embed your creative work, or provide a PUBLIC LINK link to it.
Staff and students can nominate another student for an award through this site. If you are doing this, please make sure you have a PUBLIC LINK to that student's work so that judges can access it.
